Dog Sledding in the Arctic: Just 40 minutes from downtown Tromsø is this remote husky farm, beautifully situated in the Arctic valley landscape. The view of the Lyngen Alps combined with the fjords is second to none, making this safari a genuine Northern Norwegian Arctic experience.
You will be greeted by 120 happy Alaskan huskies waiting for you to run and cuddle afterward! Drive your own team of dogs through the scenic landscape. We provide warm thermal suits, winter boots, and gloves to keep you warm during the dog sledding adventure.
After short safety and driving instructions on how to handle the dogs and sleds, each team will set off with two people sharing. One is the musher or driver and the other sits in the sled taking pictures. You will have the opportunity to swap places halfway through the trip.
The huskies love running on the hilly tracks and wilderness of Breivikeidet valley, but you need to be part of the team and help them up the hills. It’s a fun experience, but can also be a physical workout and bonding moment for you and your team!
What to bring: Warm/woollen hat and socks.
Level: Medium. Husky mushing is for almost everyone, but you need to be physically healthy, as you will need to run and push the sled uphill. If you have questions or doubts, please let us know.
