Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then head out to explore Svolvær, we recommend a sea eagle safari in the famous Trollfjord.
Trollfjord offers spectacular sights. Step on-board a small vessel and head out onto the water. The eagle safari begins when you leave Trollfjord, first you will see the gulls, they will dive for fish and even grab it right from your hand. The sea eagles can be seen as they fly in to get a share of the meal. The guides let these beautiful, rare birds of prey circle the boat a few times, before they throw fish into the sea for them to catch. In most cases, we will see several of these majestic birds during the trip.
Drive to Henningsvær (1/2 hour drive)
Henningsvær, sometimes called the “Venice of Lofoten” is a fishing village of just over 500 people. It sits on an island amongst several other small islands and the surrounding landscapes are often described as mind-blowing. The dramatic setting and mix of traditional wooden architecture with modern art galleries gives this island a unique charm.

The story of one of Lofoten’s oldest attractions has something adventurous about it.
The official opening of the museum was in 1964, but the foundation was laid in 1963 at the opening of King Olav’s V way.
The carpenter and pioneer Hans Gjertsen conducted his life’s market stunt during the opening ceremony. He made his way to King Olav V through the crowd to hand over his artwork, the cormorant. Hans had asked for permission in advance but was rejected by the organizer. The King was very curious about this voice that echoed across the crowd with the words “Excuse me, King! Can I give you a cormorant? ” The rest is history.

Dinner at Krambua at Eliassen Rorbuer (new restaurant)
Things to do:
Places to visit in western Lofoten:
The incredibly picturesque Reine is an authentic living fishing village, and also a great place to stay as you explore the Lofoten Islands. Hamnøy is the oldest fishing village in the Lofoten archipelago. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in Lofoten with its scenic and unspoiled nature. It is most likely the most photographed place in Norway!
You can stay in the Rorbuer, original fishermen cabins. The oldest cabins are from the 1890s, but the cabins are of course equipped with modern facilities.
In this area, you can rent boats and bikes, go hiking and fishing. Visit the local museums and galleries and get to know the culture and history of the region. This area is home to Elijazzen, Jazz Festival
