Arctic Tours: We’re livestreaming our destinations!
Tune into our social media channels next week
Ever wanted to book a holiday, but not sure it’ll match what you find online? Next Monday to Sunday, we’ll be visiting as many of our destinations as possible in Arctic Norway. The best part: we’re sharing them with you!
Check out this map of locations you may see:
As summer draws to an end and the weather starts looking bleak again, winter holidays are the next light at the end of the tunnel. The fun has begun – that is, the frantic frenzy to find the right holiday destination before flight prices rise to insanity. The question at hand: how to approach rationalising the best option for you.
At Arctic Holiday, we decided to kick it off by bringing our destinations directly to you. From September 3-9th, we will be live-streaming and posting real-time photos & videos of the destinations we visit on our Instagram and Facebook. This way, you can view them in their unedited natural habitat before their transition into the wondrous winter season.
Naturally, there are some things you can only experience in winter. Igloo hotels and ice fishing are difficult to manage without sub-zero temperatures, and there isn’t quite enough snow yet to go dog sledding or snowmobiling. However, autumn can arguably be one of the best times to see & do other things.
Look out for a taste of these:
- Husky kennel visit (where we offer dog sled tours)
- The trending Polar Park (part of our Wolf Kiss tour)
- Tromsø cable car (views from our panorama dinner)
- Hotel & sea cabin views in Lofoten (some of our newest accommodation on offer)
- Hotels & accommodation around Tromsø (some are integrated into our multi-day trips)
- If we’re really lucky, Northern Lights – not likely, but it is possible to see them in September (Iceland saw their first Northern Lights this year on August 16th!)
The picture above is from Eliassen Rorbuer, one of four new accommodation options live on our website. We will be live-streaming all of these so you can get a real feel for what they’re like! However, not all of the destinations we’re visiting are up on the website yet. So, if something catches your eye, send us a message or subscribe to our newsletter for the inside scoop:
With some last-minute flight deals, it may be worth getting ahead and booking a tour in autumn. This year could be your best chance to see the Northern Lights in 50 years! (Not surprisingly, 3 out of 5 of the best destinations mentioned are places we offer tours to)
