Arctic Holiday are excited to share that after a three year hiatus the famous Lofoten Hike trail has reopened!
The trail shared worldwide on social media for its beautiful views was temporarily closed in order to make improvements to its sustainability for those visiting.
Now, 3 years later – the sherpa steps have been built with the help of sherpas that the local authorities for Reinebringen had hired to fix the trail with a more long-term sustainable approach. These sherpas have unique experience in the Nepalese mountains and as a result have built a stone staircase to replace the previous muddy trails in Lofoten.
