Widerøe, one of Norway’s regional airlines has created a ticket that gives you unlimited flights…
Widerøe’s offering is called The Explore Norway Ticket which allows unlimited travel within all of Norway for 2 weeks.
The offer costs just £450 and is valid during the summer period of 1st July – 31st August 2019. The price includes all taxes and a 23kg checked bag allowance per flight. You are also able to extend your Norwegian adventures for an additional week for an extra £195.
Widerøe flies to and from 43 of Norway’s 45 airports and focuses on short-length flights around 30 minutes or less, connecting places that would generally take hours to travel between. Due to the short flight times, the airplanes are flown at low altitude resulting in beautiful aerial views countrywide.
Widerøe also offers two cheaper alternatives for unlimited flights where instead of being able to fly nationally they have divided Norway into 3 zones where you are able to pick to travel in either 1 or 2 zones.
If your choice is to travel freely in 1 Zone this will cost £330 with 2 Zones being £390. 3 Zones, as mentioned previously, is countrywide and costs £450.
The 3 zones are as follows:
Zone Southern Norway – which covers all destinations south of and to/from Trondheim.
Zone Nordland – which includes flights between Trondheim and Tromsø is a great place to visit for secret getaways in the Lofoten islands where you can experience the Norwegian fishing culture first hand.
During your travels in Lofoten, we recommend hiking to the summit of Reinebringen and taking in the beautiful views of the Northern Lights above you.
Zone Finnmark – which covers the whole Finnmark area and includes Sørkjosen, Tromsø as well as Alta, the home of Europe’s longest dogsledding race.
Zone Finnmark also features Honningsvåg where you can drop by and take in the breath-taking views of the Barents Sea as well as the 307-meter-high North Cape which is the northernmost point in Europe that can be accessed by car.
Whilst in the North Cape area you can partake in an unforgettable King Crab Safari and have the opportunity to catch crabs ranging anywhere from 3-10kg. You’ll also be able to enjoy the fresh-caught crabs as they are typically prepared and served in a lavvo camp.
