This trip corresponds with Norwegian Airlines direct flight departure from Gatwick and Finnair flight from Heathrow (stopover in Helsinki). Other flights from UK departure airports are available, but may not correspond well logistically.

Your airport transfer is included and will be arranged by the resort. You will receive details for the transfer schedule upon booking. The transfer takes up to 20 minutes, a peaceful drive from the city centre out to a quiet spot in Lapland overlooking a lake, away from city light pollution. The staff at your resort aim to make your stay feel like a home away from home!

After checking in and familiarising yourself with your majestic Arctic surroundings, a standard dinner buffet will be served at the restaurant of the main building. Get your first taste of Nordic cuisine with a modern twist, all created with locally produced ingredients. At the heart of the restaurant is a huge stone fireplace with an oven, often smelling of baked bread buns and braised stew. High windows overlook the frozen lake, where you may get lucky and spot the Northern Lights as you eat!

Day 2: Authentic Lapland

08:00 – 10:00 Breakfast buffet 

10:00 Reindeer Sleigh Journey 
Take a ride through history as you travel through the snowy forests on a reindeer sleigh. This traditional Arctic mode of transport allows you to experience the peace and purity of the Lappish scenery around you.

Following a peaceful pace, the reindeer will lead you to a charming hut in the wilderness of Lapland. Enjoy hot drinks and a light snack while our friendly reindeer rest for a bit before taking you back. You will return from this trip knowing a lot more than before about the life of reindeer and their herders in Finnish Lapland.

18:00 – 20:30 Dinner buffet

20:30 Northern Lights by Husky
Combine two of the most popular experiences into one amazing adventure – huskies and Northern Lights. The energetic huskies will take you through dark majestic landscapes to search for the Northern Lights. Mushing through the wilderness, you will arrive at a traditional Lappish hut for a break.

Grill sausages over a fire and enjoy warm berry juice as you wait for midnight to approach. The darker and later, the better the chances of seeing the Northern Lights! With a bit of luck, you’ll get to share this wonderful experience with your new furry friends.

Day 3: Arctic Adventures

08:00 – 10:00 Breakfast buffet 

10:00 Snowmobiles or Ice Fishing

You can choose either to go snowmobiling, if you have a driver’s licence, or try your hand at ice fishing with the locals.

By snowmobile, you can reach some phenomenal places – making it possible for you to witness nature’s lush beauty at its best. Experience arctic scenery in a completely different way as you hop on a snowmobile and drive off to the forest. Drive through pine tree forests and frozen marshlands until we find a scenic stopping point for a hot drink in complete silence.

Try ice fishing like a Finn! Join us for something truly Finnish, an ice fishing trip to a frozen lake. You’ll get to pack your own fishing gear from scratch and choose the winning lure to attract the fish. Making your way to the frozen lake, it’s time to drill a hole into the ice and lower the bate. Lay down on a reindeer skin and enjoy a hot drink by the makeshift fire. With time and patience, a perch or other freshwater fish species will hopefully find their way to you!

20:30 Northern Lights by Snow Train or Snowmobile

If you already tried snowmobiling in the morning, you may want to look for the Northern Lights from the comfort of your warm guide-driven snow train carriage. Snowmobiling is also an exhilarating experience under the Northern Lights, and other alternatives are available.

Before heading out, your Northern Lights expert will give you a short presentation on the science and myths behind the Northern Lights. Crossing beautiful snowy landscapes, you’ll reach a traditional Lappish ‘kota’ teepee deep in the Arctic wilderness. You’ll be taught the art of making a fire in the Arctic, then gather around the blazing bonfire to enjoy some traditional snacks and hot drinks. Our Northern Lights experts will help you with camera settings to best capture the Northern Lights.
